For the second consecutive month, we welcome a new No. 1 debut on our Top 25 list for June. Making a significant jump from No. 18 with an impressive Social Score of 178.38 is Maude, an intimate dining spot and Curtis Stone’s first restaurant, which pays homage to his late grandmother and opened earlier this year.
Maude isn’t your typical restaurant — each month, Curtis and his team select a featured ingredient to appear in each dish of the revolving, market driven, prix-fixe menu of nine tasting plates. The menu “is designed to create an intimate chef’s table experience for my entire dining room, where every seat is within a comfortable distance to our open kitchen,” notes the Owner/Chef on Maude’s website.
As for the remainder of the list, Ink. makes its way back to the top at No. 2 after taking a bit of a spill in May, followed by Culina, Water Grill, and LA Chapter-Ace Hotel, respectively, to round out the Top 5. While there were no new contenders in June, we welcome The Church Key back on the list at No. 18. All in all, there were several big movers — for better or worse — in June.
