Foodable Labs’ June data shows some month over month movement from April to June, with Cosme stealing the top spot from Marc Forgione, which drops to No. 3 this month. This is not only Cosme’s debut at No. 1, but its first time in Top 5 territory. Catch sits pretty at No. 2, a spot it’s held since January.
Located in the Flatiron District and headed up by Chef Enrique Olvera, Cosme offers Mexican-inspired cuisine with a major focus on local, seasonal ingredients sourced from surrounding areas, including the Hudson Valley. And what’s great Mexican food without a complementary beverage program? Cosme’s drink menu is given just as much thought as its dishes, with best-in-class artisanal spirits.
Last month brought seven first-timer restaurants to the NYC Foodable Top 25 list. Six of them managed to stay on, with the exception of Navy. For June’s ranking, we welcome Meadowsweet, Gotham Bar and Grill, Church Street Tavern, and The Chester.
