San Francisco Top 25 Restaurants: November 2016

The San Francisco Top 25 is back to show you why the West Coast is the best coast, and why the home of the Golden Gate Bridge is also a golden key to some of the nation's best restaurants. At No. 1 with a score of 187.05, Epic Roasthouse, also known as EPIC Steak, made an epic jump to the top of the countdown. In our last San Francisco Top 25, this embarcadero steakhouse was No. 11 on the list. How did it manage to take the throne? Probably with its soulful dining options and deep wine list, deeper than the view of the Bay outside its windows. Congratulations to EPIC Steak!

Following close behind is Atelier Crenn at a 186.64 score. This intimate, minimalist French — which, by the way, was named No. 1 on our Top 100 Social Restaurants report this past September — restaurant boasts poetic culinaria. Every dish is a work of art for guests to feel renewed. And speaking of new, we have a newcomer to the Top 25s! Put two hands together for Octavia, brought to life by award-winning Executive Chef Melissa Perello. This neighborhood restaurant elevated with elegance is seasonally driven and focuses on bringing comfort food with a bit of class.
