There’s no question Chicagoans love their steak, as evidenced by two steakhouses that landed in the Top 25 Restaurants, as compiled from Foodable Labs consumer data this quarter. But Chicago’s food scene is way more than just meat and potatoes.
This quarter, The Aviary, where innovation and tradition are honored with fresh, carefully sourced ingredients and bartenders are said to be trained as chefs, American Steakhouse Swift & Sons, and RPM Steak (owned by Bill and Guiliana Rancic) round out the top three, respectively.
Little Goat Diner, which offers a bakery menu, dinner menu, bar menu, and coffee menu, made its way into the top 5 as a newcomer this quarter at No. 4. Two Restaurant, with its focus on medium plates and a menu that changes based on seasonally available ingredients, comes in at No. 5, up from No. 9 last quarter.
Another Rancic-owned establishment, RPM Italian, made it into the Top 25 at No. 17. RPM Italian was the first collaboration between the celebrity couple and partners RJ, Jerrod, and Molly Melman, and acclaimed chef Doug Psaltis, preceding RPM Steak.
