Chef Ricardo Zarate has taken Los Angeles by Peruvian storm, infusing his culinary skills and cultural background into the diverse food city. His main goal in doing so was to bring the flavorful dishes he grew up with in Peru to the States, awakening unknowing palates. His three L.A. stomping grounds include restaurants Picca, Mo-Chica and Paiche. But now, for the first time, the chef plans to expand outside of L.A. and into Santa Barbara with Blue Tavern. The tone of the new place will be an inside-outside 90-seat space at the base of Hotel Indigo. Read more about the new venture here.
