There's a new beverage trend infusing New York's bar scene, and it includes the mixture of olive oil. We're not exactly sure how to feel about this. Aside from the obvious texture change when it's added, olive oil can apparently also add a fruity and peppery taste. How is this concoction being served?
At Manhattan's The Butterfly, Eben Freeman has created a variation of the pickleback shot, which he appropriately dubbed the Trickle Back, a touch of olive oil mixed with the restaurant's house-made Fresno chili brine, topped with Bombay Sapphire.
