A Sneak Peek Into Our New "Food as a Lifestyle" Series

The kickoff episode of "Food as a Lifestyle" is finally upon us. Set to release next week, the new series from Foodable WebTV Network centers around what it takes to make food your life. Each season, our crew will shadow a local emerging chef in various foodie markets throughout the world. Up first is Miami.

The Magic City's Sweetheart

Miami's very own Chef Adrianne Calvo, Owner of Chef Adrianne’s Vineyard Restaurant and Wine Bar, is the star of Season One. As we shadow her chefscapades – from farmer’s market scouring to back-of-house dinner prep to a chef competition at the Ritz-Carlton – viewers will get a behind-the-scenes look at what it truly takes to make it as a chef. There are no hair and makeup crews, and no lines to memorize – just an authentic capture of the work that goes into making food your life while still balancing family and business.

The twenty-something has her own weekly segment on NBC6’s Live Miami, is a spokesperson, and has her own “Make It Count” foundation in support of St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. She has also authored two cookbooks, helped pioneer the “Dark Dining” concept in Miami, and appeared on Season 9 of Food Network’s "Chopped." To say she’s busy would be an understatement. And we’re here to capture it all.

"Food as a Lifestyle" has a unique format that has never been done in the restaurant industry until now. It’s also the first show of its kind to be originated on YouTube. “We’re attempting something that’s never been done before,” says Foodable Founder & CEO Paul Barron, “creating a real reality show as it affects the life of a restaurant chef, industry operator, and how this actually affects the consumers they serve.”
