We all know Los Angeles isn't the cleanest city. But now, officials have taken a step toward preventing "plastic bags from clogging landfills, waterways and the ocean, where they kill marine life." It's a start.
Beginning tomorrow, don't expect to hear "paper or plastic?" at your local L.A. grocery store. (Do cashiers even still ask that question?)
