Restaurant Industry Unites to Make Healthier, More Sustainable Menus

With great power comes great responsibility, at least that's how Unilever Food Solutions and The Culinary Institute of America feel.  The two have teamed up in an effort to develop a sustainable food industry as well as reduce 1 billion calories on restaurant menus by 2020.

This isn't the first time Unilever has given back: over the past five years the food service company has donated over 20 million pounds of food and personal care items, as well as $2.7 million to Feeding America.  Now they are asking restaurant operators and top chefs to take the Seductive Nutrition pledge by removing 100 calories off their top dish.  For each pledge from now until December, Unilever will provide eight meals to Feeding America.  READ MORE
