With great power comes great responsibility, at least that's how Unilever Food Solutions and The Culinary Institute of America feel. The two have teamed up in an effort to develop a sustainable food industry as well as reduce 1 billion calories on restaurant menus by 2020.
This isn't the first time Unilever has given back: over the past five years the food service company has donated over 20 million pounds of food and personal care items, as well as $2.7 million to Feeding America. Now they are asking restaurant operators and top chefs to take the Seductive Nutrition pledge by removing 100 calories off their top dish.
