France Takes Legal Action Against Fast Food Restaurants

France is very serious bout their food.  So much so that French lawmakers are attempting to pass laws to protect French cuisine from the sudden flood of fast food restaurants that have popped up over the last few years.  Apparently, because of the modern work day, the French have less time to sit down and eat; spending just an average of 22 minutes per day as opposed to the 2011 average of 90 minutes.  Because they are short on time, France has embraced the fast food dining culture, much to the chagrin of the French government who believe traditional French cuisine is a matter of national pride.  Read More
