Med Students and Chefs-in-training Team Up to Change the Way Doctors Think About Food

In an unprecedented partnership, culinary students from Johnson & Wales University in Providence, R.I. are teaming up with some unlikely sous chefs: medical students from the Tulane University School of Medicine.  

The first program of its kind, the two schools are working together to educate med students and chefs-in-training about nutrition. Of the program, one med student participant says, "That's not something that's really on our radar in medical education. But with the burden of disease in the United States being so heavily weighted with lifestyle disease, I think it's a very, very logical next step." Read More
