The Ramen Burger Heads to LA

The Ramen Movement is no longer groundbreaking news to New York foodies. The Ramen Burger, however, has become all the rage - and the hype is spreading throughout the country. (It even has its own Twitter account.) On Saturday, Keizo Shimamoto will be taking his creation to Mitsuwa Marketplace in Torrance, where he'll be selling 500 of the burgers on a first come, first served basis.

Last month, Shimamoto took his Ramen Burgers to Brooklyn, where 200 were cooked up for New Yorkers on a first come, first served basis. The line was outrageously long.

The hybrid, made of grilled beef between two buns made entirely of fried Ramen noodles, has us remembering cronuts as a thing of the past. The burgers are topped with a secret sauce, and though we have yet to try one ourselves, we imagine it to be more astounding than the "secret sauce" one would find in a high school cafeteria. Read More
