We're constantly innovating in the kitchen. But in the future, kitchens themselves are going to be extremely forward-thinking, at least if suppliers like Whirlpool have anything to say about it. Global consumer technology & electronics tradeshow CES, which kicked off yesterday in Las Vegas, is providing some interesting insight into what we can expect years down the road. Dubbed the "Kitchen of 2020," Whirlpool has on display an interactive cooktop that connects cooking with social media. It allegedly has the capability to turn any kitchen countertop surface into a stovetop, while also being able to find recipes on Pinterest, check the weather, and capture food porn and post to Facebook.
