We're constantly innovating in the kitchen. But in the future, kitchens themselves are going to be extremely forward-thinking, at least if suppliers like Whirlpool have anything to say about it. Global consumer technology & electronics tradeshow CES, which kicked off yesterday in Las Vegas, is providing some interesting insight into what we can expect years down the road. Quite a few of the displays are food-centric.

Dubbed the "Kitchen of 2020," Whirlpool has on display an interactive cooktop that connects cooking with social media. It allegedly has the capability to turn any kitchen countertop surface into a stovetop, while also being able to find recipes on Pinterest, check the weather, and capture food porn and post to Facebook. Read More
