Brace yourselves, San Franciscans: There’s a slew of new restaurants on the forefront, most of which are being helmed by local foodies or former Top Chef contestants. But not all of these restaurateurs are chefs or operators: notable food blogger Pim Techamuanvivit (her blog: Chez Pim) plans to open her first restaurant this year near Union Square. The concept will be based around Thai cuisine and local, fresh ingredients.
Also new on the scene in 2014: Aveline, which will be run by Top Chef runner-up (Season 3) Casey Thompson, who will also be opening a cocktail outpost next door with Adam Wilson of Beretta. Read More
