But the successful restaurateur, Michael Gibbons, President and CEO of Mainstreet Ventures, points out the hidden potential of the restaurant industry. The industry employs roughly 13 million people and accounts for $700 billion of the economy's annual sales. It is also one of the few industries, where there is limitless potential for success, regardless of a person's academic education.
