Chicago Restaurant Aims to Keep Restaurant Noise Down

Often a modern restaurant design determines the acoustical qualities of the space. Chef Brian Huston threw a pre-opening party for his new Evanston restaurant, Boltwood and even though the guests loved the food, the space was too loud for them to enjoy the experience fully.

There is one way to diminish the restaurant noise and that is to install sound-absorbing panels within the walls. Restaurants often don't consider how sounds will travel in the store before they open. This problem is often not recognized until after the restaurant is opened.
