A Step in the Right Direction For Seafood Sustainability: Restaurants Selling Less-known Fish

Restaurants, especially ones with an extensive array of seafood menu items have a social responsibility to serve sustainable seafood. Southern Goods, a North Carolina-based food distributor is encouraging local chefs to buy unfamiliar fish versus the fish staples, such as Salmon, mahi mahi, and tuna. 

However, it may not be easy to get diners excited about these less known fish. But, if more well-known and trusted fish restaurants start to serve less familiar fish on their menus– it could spread to other restaurants.
