Seattle's "Little Italy" Continues to Develop

Restaurateur Luigi DeNunzio has just opened Che Sara Sara at First Avenue South and South Main Street. The restaurant name means “what will be, will be” because DeNunzio is not sure if diners are going to interested in such a specific niche of regional Italian food from only Southeastern Italy. 

There are quite a few Italian restaurants now in Pioneer Square, such as Armandino Batali’s Salumi and Mike Easton’s Il Corvo and Gabbiano Pizzeria. So is this the start of Seattle's Little Italy? DeNunzio certainly hopes so. He organizes Little Italy tours and has Little Italy signs outside of his restaurants. Read More
