Chicken, shrimp and cheese wrapped in a crunchy weave of Osmallieh | Facebook, Semsom

The restauranteurs Christine Assouad Sfeir and Carine Assouad (who is also the chief executive of Dunkin' Donuts in Lebanon) are opening a Middle Eastern fast casual concept in New York City. The first Semson eatery will be located at 2 Astor Pl and the a whole new menu is being developed for the concept.

The owners, who are also sisters, first opened Semsom in Lebanon in 2008. Now with almost 40 restaurants through out the Middle East, they plan to expand into the US market. They also plan to open four more Semsom restaurants in 2015. The concept will be appealing to the health- conscious consumer looking for kabobs, shawarmas and falafels. Read More
