Google is taking over the world, one click at a time.
In its most recent chess move, the search engine giant has made its way into the hotel space. Aside from providing more photos, virtual walk-throughs, and reviews, thanks to its Google+ network and Zagat acquisition a few years ago.
But Google is doing more than making hotel research visually appetizing, just like TripAdvisor and other booking sites do. Earlier this week, Google signed a deal with Room 77, a hotel-booking software startup. Google Ads will also play a huge advantage in this to cut ahead of its competition, like directly placing real-time hotel booking prices.
Now, imagine what this could do for restaurants in the near future.
