The Steakhouse, Tillman’s Roadhouse consistently makes the Foodable Top 25 Dallas Restaurants list and was the No. 11 ranked restaurant this December. With an approachable menu of popular dishes that are presented in a sophisticated, yet fun way– it is no wonder that the guests can’t help to share their dining experiences at this restaurant on social.
Besides appearing on the Dallas Foodable Top 25, the restaurant has be recognized by D Magazine for the Best Chicken-Fried Steak and Best Brunch in Dallas and in 2012, the restaurant was named a Diner’s Choice Winner by OpenTable.com.
The Beginning of Tillman’s
Dallas has a saturated dining scene of steakhouses and even though the local thriving culinary scene continues to get more crowded– Tillman’s Roadhouse remains a Dallas dining favorite. Tillman’s consistently evolves without losing its originality. Tillman’s started as Tillman’s Corner in 1992 when owners, Sara and Ricky Tillman opened the restaurant long before the Bishops Arts district was the lively section of Dallas as it is now. Eventually, Sara Tillman teamed up with the designer Rob Dailey, who remodeled the space and Chef Dan Landsberg, who developed a new menu. And evidently, the loyal following approved of the changes and the rest, as they say is history. Now there are two Tillman’s locations; the original in Dallas and Fort Worth.
