Red Robin Overcomes Fewer Guests by Boosting Check Average

Despite some initial hardships, Red Robin announced a 16 percent increase in earnings earlier this month, even outperforming analysts' predictions for its third quarter. While the Colorado based chain has been dealing with a lowering guest count, store sales rose this month due to a reported 3.6 percent increase in the average guest check, thought to be a result of an ongoing renovation of the chain including a revamp of the chain's bar program.

Red Robin is reportedly half way through the renovation responsible for this boost in check average and plans to remodel approximately 500 restaurants as well as redesign its logo and upgrade its menu. Read More
