Survey Reveals 7 Denver Chefs Make 7.4 MiIlion Economic Impact on Local Food Industry


A recent survey undertaken by nonprofit Chefs Collaborative revealed that a mere seven Denver chefs are responsible for contributing over 7.4 million dollars into the local food economy as a result of their food purchases for 2014. The survey, which was undertaken to explore the impact of local restaurants on their communities, found that these seven chefs' purchases of local bread, meat and dairy products resulted in a 7.4 direct and indirect impact that involved local businesses and farmers. Thus with these chefs' commitment to buying local, the Denver culinary scene remains invigorated.
