There's something fishy swimming into the stream of fast-food restaurants...and it smells like beer?

Chain establishments Carl's Jr. and Hardee's have revealed a new item on their menus that incorporates the recent beer trend– the Redhook Beer Battered Cod Fish Sandwich. This is the newest menu addition to entice customers who observe meatless Fridays during the Lent season.

The sandwich is made with Redhook's Extra Special Bitter ale and will sell starting this week for $3.69. Participating locations will also offer beer-battered cod tacos. After the cooking process, no actual alcohol remains in the meal, but the beer flavor is palpable.
