Starbucks' last fiscal quarter resulted in larger than average earnings for the coffee brand and executives believe they have identified the cause. With the chain's newly introduced flat white coffee beverages alongside a number of revamped bakery goods, Starbucks saw sales jump a whopping 7% throughout stores nationwide. As these newly introduced items come at a higher pricepoint for consumers, the chain has identified their overall sales boost as a result of a higher level of consumer spending per visit.
