Enjoy Some Suds at Philly's Eclectic Beer Gardens

Pull out that lawn chair and pop a can open. Beer gardens are blooming all across Philly, popular for their brews, shared foods, and laid-back, outdoor atmospheres complete with music and games. Here are 10 local places to soak up the suds this summer:

PHS Pop-Up Garden, South Street - 1438 South St.

This garden sets the scenery with a wide selection of seating and greenery. Order a local brew, such as the crisp, PHS cider from York County's Wynridge Farm, and pair it nicely with eats from Dietz & Watson, or the neighboring Jamaican Jerk Hut.

Point Breeze Pop-Up - 1622 Point Breeze Ave.

This vacant lot is jazzed up with a beer-dispensing 18-wheeler, a Volkswagen bus bar, a rotating food truck roster and other quirky amenities. If those aren't enough reasons to swing by, you clearly need to reconsider your priorities.

Memphis Taproom - 2331 E. Cumberland St.

Nibble on their new "Ode to Summer Vacation" menu and enjoy items like fried chicken or a New England Clam Roll. This charming, outdoor section of Brendan Hartranft and Leigh Maida's bar is a perfect pick for a night out.  Read More
