New Faena Hotel Miami to Bring in Top Chefs

Miami, get ready -- when the Faena Hotel opens its doors around November this year, prepare to open your arms wide open (or your mouth) to embrace full-on flavors from around the globe. The hotel itself is already a wonder waiting to happen: it will offer 169 oversized rooms and suites, the Tierra Sana spa, a live show theater, a fitness center, an outdoor pool with a bar, but the greatest part is that it will provide guests with several restaurants -- each with an acclaimed chef leading the kitchens.

One of the chefs will be the famous Francis Mallmann, who will be opening his first U.S. restaurant at the Faena. According to Food & Wine, he will be bringing his Argentinian flair to the table and is naming his restaurant Los Fuegos. He also owns Francis Mallmann 1884, which was listed as one of Latin America's 50 Best Restaurants for its "gutsy meat-led cooking."

Top Chef alum Paul Qui will also be traveling to the Sunshine State and is opening his first restaurant outside of Austin, Texas. No word on what cuisine he will be offering South Florida, but we hope he'll continue combining his Japanese cooking skills with his classical French training and Filipino background. Read More
