Native American Food Truck Rolling Into the Food Scene

Minneapolis, prepare yourself for authentic flavors you won't find anywhere else. Chef Sean Sherman, who is known as a Sioux Chef, and his knew food truck, called Tatanka Truck, are bringing traditional, "pre-contact" Native American food options to the streets of the Twin Cities.

Minnesotan foodies will be introduced to indigenous meals, and the truck will head out to reservations as well, to reconnect the natives with the healthier diet of their ancestors. The truck is supported by Little Earth, an urban Native American community.

The ingredients feature locally-found foods that were used before the arrival of European settlers in the area. There are no processed foods -- just a strict devotion to ingredients culled from the upper Midwest, meaning no chicken, beef, pork or refined sugars. Guests can look forward to buffalo, game and native plants. Read More
