The spirits industry in the US is currently experiencing a boom, especially amongst small, craft brands. As of last year, the Distilled Spirits Council of the United States estimated the spirits industry garnered approximately $23.1 billion of revenue, up 4% from last year. This craft spirits boom has undeniably been felt by local distillers and Sonoma County's own producers have been reaping in the rewards.
At local Spirits Works Distillery, the brand has doubled its shipments to 968 cases. The country's 30th largest wine company, Purple Wine + Spirits, recently changed its name to represent the company's newest venture - craft gin.
