According to PYMNTS.com, the meal kit startup from Palo Alto called Gobble recently hired new big names to help with its upcoming expansion. The new team members include Steve Robinson who was Starbucks Vice President of global logistics and supply chain alongside Brian McEvoy, who worked at Blue Apron as the Assistant General Manager.
PYMNTS.com states Robinson will be in charge of the “supply chain planning and execution” while McEvoy will be in charge of the “warehouse scalability operations.”
Gobble is a meal kit delivery system that is described as "dinner kits designed for 10 minutes with 1 pan" on its website. It strives to provide quick and easy recipes so those using the service aren’t spending all night in the kitchen after a long day of work. The meals that are sent to customers are customized to their liking and with “data science” Gobble can determine how satisfied the customer is with each order for future meal plans.
Currently, Gobble is offered in states that include Nevada, California, Utah, Arizona, Idaho, and Washington. The company plans to expand nationwide in the near future.
