Meg Galus

Meg Galus is an Illinois-native who currently sits as the executive pastry chef for three restaurants within the Boka Restaurant Group— including Michelin-starred Boka. Galus is a Chicago French Culinary alumna who most recently was named Chicago Tribune’s 2016 “Pastry Chef of the Year.” She was also named a semifinalist for “Outstanding Pastry Chef” for the 2016 James Beard Awards. Rick Vanzura

Rick Vanzura is the chief executive officer of Wahlburgers, one of the fastest growing brands in America, which now sits at 24 units. Vanzura is responsible for that fast growth since he’s been with the brand since the very beginning as it’s first CEO. He’s also responsible for optimizing the Alma Nove restaurant brand. Both concepts were founded by the famous Wahlberg family, who stars in a two-time Emmy-nominated A&E reality TV series that has propelled the restaurant brands forward. You’ll get to hear from Vanzura as we film our intimate one-on-one leadership series interviews.


Emily Wines

Also at our main stage, you’ll get to hear from Emily Wines during the Wine, Craft and Beverage Trends ioTalk. Wines not only has the perfect name for her profession but she has the know-how and experience to qualify her as the Vice President of Wine Experience and in-house Master Somm for emerging brand Cooper’s Hawk Winery and Restaurant. Her talents lie in her ability to blend her vast knowledge of wine with an approachable personal style that is straightforward and easy to understand for the everyday consumer.
