The Summer Fancy Food Show isn't just a great place to find artisanal U.S.-made food products, there are so many vendors that attend from all over the world.
When you think of France, you probably think of its wine and cheese, but since the country is often referred to as the "capital of fine food," there are so many more products to be explored.
Let's take a look at two of the French-based companies that caught our eye on the tradeshow floor at this year's Summer Fancy Food Show.
This company offers an array of premium syrups and purees made in the French Alps.
"For more than 130 years, 1883 Maison Routin has strived to demonstrate its expertise in the field of beverage flavoring," writes the Maison Routin website. "With a heritage of craftsmanship, 1883 is unrivaled in the commitment to flavor authenticity, purity of taste, and aromatic intensity which we achieve through the selection of the best ingredients."
The French company's products include the 1883 syrups like the Strawberry, Bana, Bubble Gum, Toasted Marshmellow, Green Mint, and more flavors; non-dairy milks and chai barista series in partnership with Pacific Foods; cafe powders and sauces in partnership with Hollander Chocolate; and natural teas and lemonade liquid bases in partnership with Island Rose.
Although Terre Exotique is based in France, it's products are inspired from all over the world.
The company's founder Erwann de Kerros was "born Breton but is African by heart." He spends his time traveling and hunting for spices all over the world.
"The adventure all started when he discovered the Penja pepper plantation in Cameroon. Ever since, Terre Exotique offers a wide range of gourmet foods, seeking high quality, originality, and gastronomic creativity," writes Terre Exotique on its website.
