Toronto’s New Early Mercy Tests Unique Food Truck Format

When you’ve spent a night drinking and dancing with friends, the obvious post-party plan is to seek out late-night food. But if you’re at Toronto’s new bar/lounge, Early Mercy, you don’t necessarily have to leave the building to do so. And for the cold months that are inevitably upon us, less traipsing outside in the frigid weather is the way to go.

Interestingly, the new establishment features a window that food trucks can pull up to for inside guests to easily order from. While this does limit the number of food trucks per night, it’s a unique format unlike the typical food truck roundup that takes guests out of a bar or venue. It also offers that other dimension — food — to the guest experience without having to invest in a full kitchen. Its resident food truck, the locally famous Food Dudes, ensures there’s always food options for your night out, though there will be times where other food trucks will roll through in place of it.
