Carissa Chesanek is crafty wordsmith and savvy editor, who has an eye (and palate) on the food and drink scene. With a Master’s in Journalism and a post grad certificate at New York University, Carissa has worked in editorial for many years, mastering both the print and online realm. Her work has been seen in Dining Out Magazine,, Eat This, Not That!, ZAGAT, Food Network, Miami Herald, and Carissa has also taught online courses at, including the most recent in digital journalism. Along with chowing down on the next hottest bite in her role as the New York City Editor at Foodable, she also freelances with BlackboardEats and Forbes Travel Guide, while tackling the fiction world as a short story writer and aspiring novelist.
