January 2014 marks the first monthly Foodable Top 25 ranking for Las Vegas, where restaurants are not compiled by a “favorites” handpicked list, but are extracted from our proprietary Restaurant Social Media Index. For Foodable 25s, we narrow data down to two main elements: consumer sentiment and influence. All data is tracked across 17 social platforms from more than 55 million social U.S. restaurant consumers spanned across more than 212,000 locations.
barMASA tops the list this month with a social score of 180.92, the highest score we have seen thus far in all of #Foodable25 history, including the January 2014 numbers that have come in thus far. Highlighting modern Japanese cuisine, barMASA is housed in the Aria and helmed by Chef Masa Takayama. It’s been reported that Chef Masa, who sources Bluefin Tuna from Japan’s coast, ensures the fish is no more than a day out of the water before it hits a guest’s plate. From its fresh, seasonal food to its overall refreshing simplicity – an especially welcoming characteristic in a place like Las Vegas – barMASA is doing it right, and its consumer sentiment is proof.
