A food and drink writer for over fifteen years, she spends her free time road tripping with family, discovering esoteric wines and spirits, and exploring antique stores. Her cocktail book "The 12 Bottle Bar", co-written with her husband David Solmonson, was released in July 2014 and nominated for Best Cocktail Book at Tales of the Cocktail. Prior to that, she wrote “Gin: A Global History” and she continues to evangelize about the wonders of the juniper spirit. Along with exploring all things bibulous at Foodable, she is Senior Editor at Chilled magazine and a frequent contributor to the LA Times and liquor.com. Lesley also  serves on the Advisory Board of the Museum of the American Cocktail.
