In our first-ever Foodable Top 25 ranking for Los Angeles, we're showing our west coast foodies some love. Just 6.3 points shy of beating out San Francisco's November ranking for top Social Score ever, the L.A. dining scene is a force to be reckoned with.
In the top spot for December 2013 is Culina Modern Italian (163.61), and it should come as no surprise to those who have been lucky enough to experience it firsthand. Featuring fresh and seasonal ingredients on its menu, Culina boasts a "modern twist on classic Italian." Complete with a crudo bar, outdoor fireplace and celebrity Executive Chef Mette Williams (of Food Network's Chef Wanted with Anne Burrell), Culina hits on all the stops. Aside from our consumer sentiment social rankings, the restaurant, which has a very social presence – check out the website to see for yourself – has been recognized as one of the "Best New Restaurants" by Esquire magazine, one of the "100 Best Wine Restaurants" by Wine Enthusiast, and one of Zagat's top restaurants in Los Angeles.
Unlike most lists, which are handpicked by editors, Foodable Top 25 lists are based on organic data pulled from U.S. consumers from our proprietary Restaurant Social Media Index. (For a more extensive version of how the RSMI works, click here.) You can also view our other city rankings here for Chicago, Miami, New York City, and San Francisco.
