Ryan Ross is a writer living in Brooklyn. A lifelong lover of the culinary arts, Ryan is always on the lookout for up-and-coming restaurants and chefs; luckily, in New York City, there’s no shortage of either. Ryan previously worked in many restaurants in a variety of roles, including as a server, prep cook, and bartender, and he considers himself an ambitious (although not always successful, but that’s part of the fun) amateur chef.
Fun facts? Ryan is now completing his Master’s in Journalism at New York’s The New School of Social Research. His favorite dish to make is slow-roasted braised beef short ribs, and so far, he hasn’t found a restaurant whose preparation matches his own. Ryan is also a classically-trained bassist who once played in Boston’s Symphony Hall; nowadays, he is focused more on the bass guitar.
