Earlier this month, we released our premier Foodable Top 25 list for L.A. Now, we’re giving you the first-ever Washington, D.C. rankings – the Top 25 local restaurants, all based on social consumer sentiment and influence pulled from our proprietary Restaurant Social Media Index. There’s no bias here, just organic data pulled from restaurant consumers throughout 17 social platforms (you can get more info on how the Index works here).
This month, Black’s Bar & Kitchen is topping the list. With a social score of 156.92, Black’s menu hones in on organic and regional ingredients and boasts a hefty wine selection with over 300 labels, contributing to Black’s receiving the Wine Spectator Magazine’s Award of Excellence. Based in Bethesda, the restaurant is a cornerstone to northern Virginia and southern Maryland, a blend of different, local fare. But the Black Restaurant Group, which also owns D.C.-based Addie’s, BlackSalt (No. 9) and Black Market Bistro, is doing more with local fare than just serving it. Jeff and Barbara Black have started The Black’s Family Foundation, which stands for community – “by actively giving to our local communities, we can empower organizations and charities to do extraordinary things.” Black’s Bar & Kitchen, then, isn’t just a dining experience, but a social stance, which connects with people.
Between a polished dining room, cool outdoor patio, and serving brunch, lunch and dinner, Black’s Bar & Kitchen seems to cater to all tastes – that is, if honest, healthy food and a great atmosphere is your thing.
